After highschool, I went to EMCC for 2 years(with no real plan on what I wanted to do). Then I went to MSU and studied International Business for a couple of years. After a few failed classes, I decided to take a break from school. For maybe 2 and a half years of just working, I met a person that talked me into signing up for the cosmetology program at EMCC. Now, I have my cosmetology license :) and i can style your hair for the class reunion ;)...I've changed a lot since I've seen most of you. I've learned a lot over these years and I've met ppl that will be in my life forever. I've loved, had my heart broken, broke some hearts, had lots a fun, and really sad times, too. It's made me a better person. I just want y'all to know I'm thankful for my graduating class. I'm glad I had so many of you as friends, and hope everybody is happy! Hope to see you soon!
UPDATE: August 2, 2013- Got engaged to Ryan Fondren!

After SHS, I followed the music to Boston where I attended the New England Conservatory. At NEC, I immersed myself in the world of creating music and working with performers, eventually receiving both a Bachelors and a Masters in Music Composition. I then completed the Sistema Fellowship, which was a year of non-profit strategy training focused on creating music for social change programs. During the fellowship, I had the opportunity to travel around the world, touring China with the Youth Orchestra of the Americas and crossing Venezuela studying their amazing system of youth orchestras and choirs known as El Sistema. Now, I have the great joy to be the Director of the People's Music School Youth Orchestras in Chicago, working with children and music everyday. I also serve on the board for the National Association of El Sistema Inspired Programs, and speak at conferences and on college campuses about the positive impact music education can have on the lives of children, families, and communities. After high school, I went to Mississippi State University to pursue my love for science, mathematics, medicine, and engineering. In 2010, through God’s help, I received a degree in biomedical engineering from the greatest university on this side of heaven. # HAIL STATE! Since college, I have been laboring as a biomedical/ manufacturing engineer for a medical manufacturing firm in north Mississippi. Being grown and paying taxes are so overrated!! Amen? (LOL) I try to share the goodness of God with everybody I can. Serving God is my mission (Ecclesiastes 12:13), evangelizing the lost is my ministry (Mark 16:15-16), baptizing sinners is my method (Acts 8:38), personifying New Testament Christianity is my motto (Acts 11:26), and teaching people that Christ died, was buried, and rose (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) IS THE MESSAGE! I’m so thankful to have had the chance to stand in the august presence of each member of the 2005 class. It’s such a joy to be part of the 2005 class.

Occupation: Applebee's Training Manager
Current City: Columbia SC
Email address: [email protected]
After graduation I went to Mississippi University for Women and tried to obtain a degree in Fine Arts, but I met my wonderful husband, and moved to SC because he was in the military. So, I didn't get to finish my degree because I had over 90 hours and it's harder to get upper level art classes approved for transfers back to MUW. Art teachers are so picky, and apparently you can only transfer 60 hours, so, I would be loosing 2 semesters I gave up on that and decided to become a homemaker after having kids, while my husband was
deployed. I also worked part time at an Applebee's in Columbus, MS, and in Sumter, SC. I apparently made a good impression on the people that I worked with because when I went looking for a salary job and references, so that my husband could get out of the military and into a masters program, my previous boss suggested that I apply for management with Applebee's because of all of my experience. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I got the job. :-D. I love it. It's hard work and fast paced but I love taking care of my team and my store. I very recently got a slight promotion. I was moved from one of the regular stores to a training store that all new managers come through. I have 2 beautiful boys who are like puppies they bite and wrestle so much. They are 2 years and 4 years old.

After graduation, I went on to attend Mississippi State University, where I first decided to major in psychology, but truth be told, I started uncovering and analyzing disturbingly too much about myself so I dropped that major pretty quick. Next, I started to major in Broadcasting Communications which opened up a number of job opportunities and connections for me. It allowed me to get experience with various television networks such as ESPN, MTV, and FoxSports. This too did not work out as I soon discovered that I liked to watch television more than I actually liked helping to broadcast it, so that was also dropped. I then went to Educational Psychology but couldn’t stay awake in classes, so of course that definitely wasn’t for me, so I finally and thankfully settled on Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. During this time I came into contact with a girl and began a 3 year long distance relationship. Once I received my degree, I moved to Greensboro, NC and eventually got engaged and married my pretty and always entertaining wife, Danielle, who is a kindergarten teacher. I am still very much an active musician in the area, I write, arrange, and record my own original music, and actually just started playing the bass guitar for a group who will be opening up for a recording artist in a few days. Danielle and I are in the process of preparing for grad school where I hope to obtain my master’s degree and Ph.D in Student Affairs. See you all at the reunion.

So after high school, I packed my bags and headed for the land of corn and pork (a.k.a. Iowa). I graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Grinnell College. I also spent five months in Botswana where I wrote my thesis on women in politics in southern Africa.
After college, I went to the University of Iowa, College of Law. During my time there I worked with Latino rights organizations in Iowa and Texas, worked on a legal journal, and did a LOT of tailgating (GO HAWKEYES!). Oh, and I got an article published in the Journal of Gender, Race & Justice arguing that certain provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act impermissibly discriminate against persons on the basis of gender!
After graduating from law school in 2012, I trekked back to Mississippi—no more snowy winters for me! I was admitted to the Mississippi Bar and got my attorney’s license in September 2012, and now I am working for a U.S. District Court Judge in Jackson.

Hey Class of 2005!
After high school, I attended Mississippi State University and received a Bachelor's degree in Horticulture with an emphasis in Floral Management. While pursuing my degree, I represented Mississippi State and traveled all over the United States competing in regional and national floral design competitions. I also traveled to Europe where I toured the largest flower auction near Amsterdam, The Netherlands and shared my talent and enthusiasm for floral design with a small university in France. At MSU, I met my husband Eric Cranford; we married in March 2014. We recently relocated from Starkville to Bay Saint Louis, MS. Eric is currently employed as a Design Engineer with Jacobs Technology at the John C. Stennis Space Center. Currently, I am working on a business plan to open my own full-service florist to serve the MS Gulf Coast. I am inspired by my new surroundings and looking forward to what the future brings. We are so excited about our new life on the coast, but look forward to visiting Starkville in the near future...After all, we can't get enough of MSU Football! Go Jackets and Hail State!

We are so excited about our new life on the coast, but look forward to visiting Starkville in the near future...After all, we can't get enough of MSU Football! Go Jackets and Hail State!

I'm super excited! Since graduation I've met the love of my life & I've had my 3rd child. Although, there's no ring "yet" lol, we decided to leave home to live better in a way that we could provide more for our family. We moved to Alabama & within a month I got a job working in a daycare in which within a months time I got fired. Sum off days later I was called with a position at my current job as a direct support person & some days later I gained the position as a manager. I always said "what's not for you won't be & what is will be".. I'm proud to say I love my job & the life I've dreamed of having since I wads child. I'm currently getting it to where I can start summer classes at AIU. So, here's to praying day in & out that I get a degree or degrees under my belt since I've put it off to see that my children were taken care of. I could go on & on but I won't at least not today.. Nobody but God did it for me & I am so grateful! Can't wait to see you all at the reunion... We're the best c/o 05
